The Permit Granted Subject To The Terms And Conditions Relating To The Importation Of The Above Mentioned Items As Set Out In The Regulations For The Time Being In Force And To The Following Terms And Conditions.
The consignment must be accompanied by official meat inspection certificate stating that:-
- The animals from which the products were derived came from a country or herd free of Foot and Mouth Disease, Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, and any other zoonotic disease capable of being transmitted via milk and milk products and have been certified by the O.I.E. and agreed to by guidelines set at the 27-28 March 2001 of CARICOM Veterinary Personnel Meeting in Georgetown, Guyana
- The products have been manufactured from pasteurized milk, and originated from processing plants where premises and production are subjected to regular inspection and testing in order to detect contamination by pathogenic organisms (e.g. Lisetria moncytogenes, salmonella). The process of pasteurization or processing involved either of the following: a. UHT ( Ultra High Temperature-a minimum temperature of 132 0C for at least 1 Second); b. HTST ( Simple high temperature, in case of milk with pH less than 7.0); c. double HTST (in case of milk with pH over 7.0)
- Import permits must be obtained prior to the importation of products.
