Social Partnership
The Ministry of Labour, Public Service Reform, Social Partnership, Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development is dedicated to fostering collaboration and cooperation between various stakeholders in society to address social issues and promote sustainable development. The social partnership portfolio of the Ministry encompasses a wide range of initiatives aimed at strengthening relationships between the government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), faith-based organizations (FBOs), other civil society groups, community-based groups and advocacy organizations. Through this portfolio, the Ministry facilitates dialogue, consensus-building, and joint decision-making processes. This role also functions as a liaison, facilitating communication and representing the interests of government to social partners and vice versa..
Recognizing the significance of marriage as a fundamental institution in society, the Ministry ensures that the legal requirements and procedures for obtaining Marriage Licenses and appointments as Marriage Officers are efficiently managed, and works closely with relevant ministries and agencies to streamline the process, thereby ensuring that couples have ease of access to the necessary documentation and guidance to formalize their unions.
Recognizing that diverse organizations play a crucial role in addressing social issues and contributing to the well-being of communities, the Ministry also processes applications for organizations to be included to the list of Charitable Organizations.
Through these initiatives, the Ministry with responsibility for Social Partnership demonstrates its commitment to fostering social cohesion, supporting families, and creating an enabling environment for organizations and individuals to actively contribute to the betterment of society.
